Generally, I do not deliver RAW files in order to maintain consistency and quality in my final deliverables.
Cameras exposed strictly according to technical standards often produce RAW files that appear less than polished and require advanced retouching and a deep understanding of each sensor’s capabilities to maximize their potential.
However, I do offer RAW file delivery to agencies with in-house editing teams when client brand guidelines are being followed.

Who Owns the Work
All creative content—whether photos, videos, or other media—is the intellectual property of the photographer, protected by The Canadian Copyright Act (Learn More Here). When you purchase a license, you secure the right to use that content within clearly defined terms—much like leasing a car.
Licensing helps set clear expectations at a proportionate price, ensuring fairness and sustainability for everyone involved. If unlimited usage rights are required, a full buyout is always an option and will be priced accordingly.
Copyright protection and content licensing are standard practice in commercial media worldwide—it’s what allows creative work to remain both accessible and professionally viable for clients and creators alike.
Copyright & Promotional Use
As the copyright holder, I retain the right to use all created content—including photos, videos, and behind-the-scenes material for promotional purposes. This includes use on social media, website, email marketing, editorial publications, award submissions, and third-party sub licensing.
How Licensing Works
Licensing is based on how the content will be used. Some projects only require social media usage, while others require broad international campaign use. Usage intentions determine the value of the content, which is priced accordingly. I offer a range of licensing options structured to reflect varying levels of usage and exclusivity.
Balancing Usage and Affordability
Licensing options and conditions help keep architectural photography and videography accessible. In most commercial genres, full-usage buyouts are common. But this comes at a cost—often ranging from ten to well over fifty thousand dollars per project depending on the usage required. These high fees reflect the value of the content as a marketing asset. For example, if imagery is being used in a $100,000 advertising campaign, its monetary value is significantly higher than if it’s only featured on a personal portfolio website. By offering flexible licensing options, I’m able to provide high-quality commercial work at a more approachable cost—ensuring you only pay for the usage you need.
Custom Licensing
Custom licenses are available to accommodate specific usage needs, budgets, or distribution plans. The broader or more prominent the use, the higher the value of the content—and the price is adjusted to reflect that.
Third Party Licensing + Sales
Unless exclusivity is included in the purchased license, I retain full distribution rights and may sub-license the content to third parties—such as project vendors, collaborators, or industry partners—without additional permission or notice.
This is a standard practice in commercial architectural photography and a key part of my business model. Third party sale allows me to keep licensing fees lower for primary clients by passing the expense onto third party clients down the line. This helps maintaining long-term professional viability and client affordability.
If you prefer the images not be resold, shared, or used beyond your own channels, we can absolutely arrange a custom license, or buyout with a proportionately valued licensing rate to reflect that usage.
