Image Editing Samples
Capturing the perfect image often requires working in challenging environments or aiming for a specific style. In these cases, editing becomes essential to achieve a polished final result. Below are sample edits showcasing the entire process—from raw source images to the meticulously crafted final photograph.
Source images are selectively combined by hand in Photoshop, each serving a specific purpose. While some may appear flawed, with issues like poor exposure, grain, color casts, or other imperfections, these are common byproducts of capturing all necessary elements for the final composite. Even the most powerful digital cameras have limitations, often requiring extensive editing to balance exposure and enhance quality and fidelity.
It's important to understand that image proofs are meant to showcase composition and content, not perfection. Processing a single image can take 1–2+ hours, making it impractical to apply the same level of refinement to every proof. When reviewing proofs, focus on the overall composition and content rather than imperfections like exposure, grain, dust, or distractions. The final edits will always be optimized to meet the highest standards.
